Outdoor Trec Competition

Unaffiliated 2 Phase Outdoor Trec competition

Class 1 Open: (open to any suitable rider and horse)

Class 2 Novice Horse: ( open to any horse or pony that has not been placed 1st 2nd or 3rd in any Trec competition)

Class 3 Novice Rider: ( open to any rider that has not been placed 1st, 2nd or 3rd in any Trec competition)

There are 2 phases to this competition ( please note there is no orienteering phase)

Phase 1 (PTV)     –  20 obstacles, mostly natural, over several fields. Jumps not exceeding 60 cm for open and 45 cm for novice classes.

Phase 2 (MA)         – control of paces. Slow canter and fast walk over 150 yards without breaking stride.

Please note:

  • the competition is for riders with their own horses
  • body protectors and hats  (current standards) are compulsory
  • Entry fee per class £20
  • Entries close Monday 7th of August

section A: Lead-rein/assisted

section B: 16 yrs and under

section C: Open

Class 2: BD Intro A (2008)

Class 3: BD Prelim 1 

Section A : restricted to horse/rider combination not to have more than 3 firsts in this level or above

Section B: Open

Class 4: BD Novice 24 (2010)

Section A : restricted to horse/rider combination not to have more than 3 firsts in this level or above

Section B: Open

Class 5: BD Elementary 44 (2002)

Section A : restricted to horse/rider combination not to have more than 3 firsts in this level or above

Section B: Open

***All classes will count towards our championship Show in March 2017, with points awarded for each placing over the Winter Dressage Series, with Championship rosettes and prizes awarded to horse/rider combinations obtaining the most points over the series in their respective class. ***

  • Rosettes to highest placed junior (16 and under) in classes 2,3,4 and 5.
  • Rosettes up to 6th place
  • Entry fee: £10
  • Entries via post, telephone (0121 445 2333) or paypal (julieaustin1195@aol.com). Please let us know names of rider and horse, age if under 16, class/classes you wish to enter. Cheques payable to Seechem Equestrian Ltd.

Dates for 2016/17

  • Sunday 9th October 2016
  • Sunday 6th November 2016
  • Sunday 4th December 2016
  • Sunday 15th january 2017
  • Sunday 12th February 2017
  • Sunday 12th March 2017 (Championship Show)

All classes £10. Entries close 0n Tuesday evening before the competition, Times are available on the Friday before the competition between 6pm and 8pm.

Please see individual schedules for class details and more detailed information.

Championship rosettes and prizes will be awarded to the horse rider combinations obtaining the most points over the series for their respective classes.
