Outdoor Trec Competition

Sunday 13th of August 2017

Unaffiliated 2 Phase Outdoor Trec competition

Class 1 Open: (open to any suitable rider and horse)

Class 2 Novice Horse: ( open to any horse or pony that has not been placed 1st 2nd or 3rd in any Trec competition)

Class 3 Novice Rider: ( open to any rider that has not been placed 1st, 2nd or 3rd in any Trec competition)

There are 2 phases to this competition ( please note there is no orienteering phase)

Phase 1 (PTV)     –  20 obstacles, mostly natural, over several fields. Jumps not exceeding 60 cm for open and 45 cm for novice classes.

Phase 2 (MA)         – control of paces. Slow canter and fast walk over 150 yards without breaking stride.

Please note:

  • the competition is for riders with their own horses
  • body protectors and hats  (current standards) are compulsory
  • Entry fee per class £20
  • Entries close Monday 7th of August

Dressage competition 12th March 2017 – Results

Today’s dressage competition was the last of our winter dressage series and for once the weather was kind to us. No rain, snow, wind – just lovely spring temperatures with a bit of sunshine. The winners of todays competition were as follows:

Class 1 British Dressage Intro C :

Junior ( under 16 years) :                    Leland Woodfield on Larry

Class 2 Pony Club Intro :                Indie Kaushal on Flash Jack

Dressage on 15th January cancelled

We have just been informed that a yard in Rowney Green has reported a case of strangles. As a precaution we have decided to cancel the dressage competition scheduled for Sunday 15th of January. The entrance money can either be re-funded or transferred to the next dressage taking place on 12th of February 2017. Sorry for any inconvenience caused by this cancellation but I am sure you all agree it is better to be “save than sorry”.

Arena Trec Practise Session

trecFollowing on from our Introduction to Trec Demonstration in November, we are holding
Arena Trec Practice sessions
Sunday January 29th 2017
1 Hour group slots,with a maximum of 4 in a group.
Own horse £15.
Seechem horse/pony £30 ( restricted to current weekly riders)
A great opportunity to try/introduce you and your horse to Trec obstacles, in a relaxed environment with advice and guidance from experienced competitors/enthusiasts.
Start time tbc.
